The Inaugural Function of the Right to Information (RTI) Week, 2022 was held in the Conference Hall of Assembly Annexe, Treasury Square in Aizawl on 6th October 2022 wherein Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Hon'ble Governor, Mizoram graced the function as Chief Guest.
Pu Lalnunmawia Chuaungo, Chief Information Commissioner had a welcome speech and keynote address and 2 (two) RTI practitioners viz Pu Vanneihthanga and Pu Lalnuntawma Fanai shared their experiences with the Right to Information.
After delivering his speech, the Chief Guest distributed prizes of Inter-College RTI Slogan Writing Competition and Pu Zorammawia, Information Commissioner had vote of thanks.
The function was well-attended by DAAs, SPIOs, SAPIOs, Heads of Central Government Departments, NGOs and leaders of MJA. Pu Lalduhthlana Ralte (former CIC) and Pu K. Tlanthanga (former IC) were also in attendance.
The Chief Guest delivered a speech on the RTI Act, 2005.
