The appellant viz Pu Lalhruaitluanga Bawitlung sought information from the SPIO, Finance Department via Mizoram RTI Online on 25.11.2022. The said RTI application was not attended to by the concerned SPIO.

The appellant then preferred First Appeal to the DAA on 28.12.2022 wherein he was informed that the information sought for could be found on Finance Department's website.

Feeling aggrieved with the decision of DAA, the appellant preferred Second Appeal to Mizoram Information Commission on 18.01.2023. 

Hearing was held on 21.02.2023 wherein the Commission directs the SPIO (Respondent), Finance Department to furnish the requested information, free of cost, to the appellant not later than 15.03.2023.
