The appellant viz Pi Lalchawiliani submitted RTI application to the SPIO & Assistant Survey Officer, Land Revenue & Settlement Department.

The SPIO furnished reply on 28.03.2023 stating that the documents connecting to the required information could not be located and therefore, no information could be furnished.

The appellant preferred First Appeal dt. 25.04.2023. The DAA replied stating that the information required is under the purview of Settlement Office, Aizawl District and therefore, they could not furnished the information sought for.

Not satisfied with the reply received from the DAA, the appellant preferred Second Appeal to the Mizoram Information Commission on 24.05.2023. Summon was issued to both the appellant and the respondent (SPIO) to appear before the Commission on 05.06.2023 (Monday) at 12:00 Noon. Hearing was held wherein the Commission hereby directs that
SPIO & Assistant Survey Officer, Land Revenue & Settlement Department, Aizawl District shall provide the information to
the appellant, free of cost, not later than 19.06.2023 ( Monday).
